W7 Makeup Brush Set: 1st Impressions

I saw these bad boys on amazon for just under £6 and thought for the price I needed to check them out. 

 

 I only really wanted a fan brush for highlighting but for the price, especially as they come in a roll mat I just ordered them. As you can see they arrive in a plastic bag and when you take it out the brushes are all arranged in the roll mat. 

 

My first impression was that the roll mat stinks to high heaven of cheap plastic. The brushes already look a bit beat up and not in the best of condition. 

 

This comb was the first one in there and it's cheap and nasty and I can tell you now I will not be using this. 

 

Then there is a spoolie which is fine, the same as every other one of these that I own. 

 

Honestly you are seeing what you think you are, a foam tipped applicater. I can't see myself using this but there is a nagging voice in my head wondering how this would work with pressed pigments. 

 

 

This is meant to be a liner brush but honestly it's a nasty plastic chunk that is destined for the bin. It's not thin enough to line anything and is so mushed up it would just make a mess. 

 

This is another style of liner brush and is admittedly very soft, I will be trying this out. 

 

This is the lip brush, again very soft but I'm interested to see if I can get a precise line with this. 

 

The fan brush is really what I bought the set for, it's very soft but the brush isn't very dense so I'm not sure how this will perform. 

 

  

Here we have 3 eye shadow brushes all very soft, non of them particularly dense and non have a domed top I would normally use for blending. I'm certain though I can use these for something. 

 

 

The last two are face brushes neither feel very soft and both lack a defined shape. I've a feeling these are going to put product on streaky but I'll give them a go. 

My first impressions of this set is that it's not worth the money. The handles a very light and the brushes seem messily put together and very poor quality.
