Beauty and the Beast

I have been so excited to go and see Beauty and the Beast and today I finally got to go as my birthday treat. Yay!!!

 

Beauty and the Beast was one of my favourite childhood films and I have been lucky enough to also see the stage show about 15 years ago. So to say I was excited to see the remake is an understatement. I also have a 10 year old daughter who I have indoctrinated into my love for the film who was also looking forward to it. 

I don't watch much in 3D as I think it adds little to the experience and is just a money making scheme. 

The film didn't disappoint in any way and I thought the cast was fantastic. It didn't stray far from the plot of the original movie but where it did I feel it added to the story. I must confess I prefer the live remake of Cinderella but I think that was something very special indeed. 

Now my daughter and I are waiting with baited breath for the remake of Mulan.
