Brand In the Spotlight - Hebridean Soap Company

08:44
In October I visited the Outer Hebrides for the very first time, we went for a week and spent most of that time on the Isle of Lewis. This place is just unbelievable, it is the most wild, untamed place that I have ever been and I loved every minute of it.

Here is a photograph I took at the world famous Bosta Beach

Isn't it just unreal. The thing is all of the islands beaches are very similar, bright white sand, and beautiful turquoise sea. If it weren't for the heather on the hillsides surrounding the beaches and the cold you could have been forgiven for thinking you are in the Caribbean.

We try to shop local as much as we possibly can and when we go away part of that is supporting local businesses, finding companies that produce products that we would already buy, and getting them from these local supplies themselves.

We stumbled upon the workshop of Linda from the Hebridean Soap Company completely, we fortuitously just spotted some signs along the road and followed them. There we met Linda and her dog working in the workshop attached to her shop making the soap she sells there. It was fantastic to watch and we ended up buying quite a few different ones and some more as Christmas gifts.

Here are a few of the varieties that we purchased. All smelt amazing and everyone we purchased any for came back to us in raptures about how much they loved this soap.

Now you know I have very sensitive skin and I normally cant touch soap, but I find these are fine as long as I don't use them every day. the rest of my household has no such problems with soap and used these with relish until they were all gone.

My husband tried out the shaving soap and found he really likes it and it makes shaving very smooth and easy. What he loves is that he knows he is not damaging the environment using this product or putting any nasty chemicals on his face.

I have to admit that even the mucky dog has been washed with this beautiful soap and smelled very sweet afterwards.

If you like nice soap, lovingly made the way it was before mass manufacturing, with good quality sustainable ingredients then you have to visit the website HERE. You will pleasantly surprised by the price too.

Let me know what you think

Love
