Accidental Makeup Win

I never intended to do anything fancy with my makeup this morning but somehow I succeeded in producing my best eyeshadow look in ages. 

It was all down to a dirty brush. 

I tried to blend a taupe colour into my crease when I realised I hadn't cleaned the brush since I did my crazy unicorn eye for my 80s costume on Red Nose Day. My brush looked ok but was really still full of fairly bright green eyeshadow. 

Surprisingly mixed with the taupe this looked like a subtle oxidised copper green colour. I added some copper eyeshadow on the lid and bobs your uncle I had a stunning eyeshadow look. 

It's not a combination I would have tried before but it works and I've had loads of complaints on it this morning at work. I think using dirty brushes might be the next big thing. 

Now to figure out how I recreate the beautiful green tinged crease. Trying to keep it subtle with my ham handed blending might be impossible.
