Beauty Chat: Summer Is Coming
The weather this weekend has been stunning in my neck of the woods. It's really been warming up over the last two weeks but this weekend has been a big jump. It's made me think about my makeup routine and how I need to change it up now that the weather has changed.
I'm not a big believer in having to wear certain colours or trends at specific times of the year but I do gravitate towards different make up looks depending on the weather. For me the sunnier months is the time that I break out the bright colours from their box and go crazy.
Part of this is I am definitely happier and more cheerful when the weather is nice and I like to reflect this in the way that I dress. The other part, especially when it comes to lipstick is that I spend so much of the winter with a cold and or dry lips that I tend to gravitate towards much more neutral colours that don't need so much upkeep throughout the day.
I also know that I have much better skin during the summer and so this changes my foundation routine. I don't need as much coverage during the summer as a lot of my dry patches and also discoloration get better when I have had a bit of sun on my face, Hence why I was really happy to find the lighter coverage of Kiko Hydrating Foundation. I love a glowy look but in the summer my aim is to be that bronzed goddess, I even embrace a bit of glitter!!!
Do you change up your makeup look with the seasons? Tell me how.
