Anti Haul Nars Duel Intensity Single Eyeshadow

As you may recall I am on my April no buy and half way through the month I'm finding it really hard. So I thought I would do an anti haul to remind myself why I am not purchasing makeup this month.
These absolutely stunning eye shadows, and they really are stunning, caught my eye in Space NK the other day. I swatched some and almost had my card out of my purse there and then but then I stopped myself.
I wish I could have taken pictures of the swatches for you but I had a sales assistant breathing down my neck so didn't manage it. You will have to take my word when I say they are buttery, smooth, multi dimensional and amazingly pigmented. Like I said I was in love.
Then I saw the price. £21 each!!!!!
Now these are beautiful, I mean maybe the nicest shadows I have ever swatched, but I don't think any single eyeshadow is worth £21.
The colours are lovely but what you aren't getting from a swatch is how will they blend? This intensely pigmented blending is likely to be an issue. The sales assistant also admitted that they do have major fall out and I don't have time for that.
I think if I had a minimalistic approach to makeup and wanted just a few shadows that I would use everyday, then these might be worth while. Maybe if I felt I needed one of the colours for a really special occasion then maybe. Or you know if I were rich and money was no issue.
As it is as pretty as they are I just can't do it, and unless you are looking to own 2 or 3 perfect eyeshadows that you will use day in day out I don't think you should do it either. There are so many many great products out there that you don't need these.
Have you tried them? Are they one of your must haves?
I'm hoping someone is going to tell me they have some and that the swatches are deceiving.
Love
Kay
