Anti Haul Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - Surreal Light
While I was in Spaced NK a few weeks ago I decided to have a look at the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. They are so hyped up that I figured I needed to have a look and a play with them.
I spotted this Ambient Lighting Edit - Surreal Light palette for £69.

As you can see you get 4 normal size powders and a large pan as well. It is expensive but you do seem to get quite a bit of product for you money in comparison to buying a single pan of one of the powders.
The packaging looks pretty, its plastic but it has a kind of marble effect which does make it look nice,
My issue with this is that I don't know what I am meant to use these powders for. Be honest beauty bloggers rave about them all the time but how often have you ever seen anyone use one? If you have I bet it was just as a bit of a highlight across the cheek bones.
There are clearly two blush shades in this palette and when I swatched them they are just so shiny I wouldn't want to wear them on my face. Nor do I normally want a shiny bronzer that is really light.
As a highlight I am sure they are nice, but are they really £69 nice? Not for me they aren't, Give me my W7 Glowcamotion for less than £5 any day of the week.
Do you love this? Tell me how you use it.
Love
Kay
